The ELIA Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Working Group invites you to join the online session on Monday, 22 September 2025, from 13:00–15:00 CEST, organised as part of the Creative Skills Week 2025 (CSW2025).

This session creates a space to question how artistic skill is defined and transmitted, while examining the entrenched power dynamics between educator and student. Together, participants will explore how canons within the culture and creativity sectors influence these relationships.

The programme invites critical reflection on questions such as:

• What is “skill”?

• From which position do we teach?

• How do these perspectives reveal or challenge power structures?
